Adaptation is key in the design industry because it is always changing. yes trends and technology change, but also our environment changes, from school to work, switching jobs, to working on new teams… It is all a part of the process. This is a real truth for me right now… as I have just been layed off from Infoswell Media. It was nothing to intense… the economy is rough and so budgets are short. The cool thing is that I am using this opportunity to start working freelance, unless a killer full-time deal comes along. it is in the frustrating and or difficult time that we se what we are made of, and I am taking this as a challenge to rise to the occasion.

Now this is a step in the right direction! The Industry is about to get a little bit stronger.
Good luck Aaron
First, I heard about you getting let go. Sorry to hear. I’ve definitely been there recently. But it panned out to a much better more rewarding opportunity. So I believe it will work out.
I’m with you on the Google Wave statement. I don’t think it’s going to change anything. On a personal use level, it doesn’t really offer that much. I can see more use for it on a large business scale. Especially with projects that need to be approved or commented on by internationally based individuals. It does allow for realtime revisions. So that’s always good. But there needs to be way more users on it and more growth in it’s offerings.
Good Luck. I hope you have a great Thanksgiving.
You can do it dude! You know people, you have knowledge. Go for it!
You can do it dude! The freelance market is on the rise as medium/small companies can not afford studios anymore.
You have knowledge, skills. Go for it!
Eternal optimism can carry you far. Best luck Aaron!.
