Friday Vidcast 8-7-09

This weeks Friday Vidcast discusses our ability to have vision, and not limit ourselves in what we offer our clients.

After my first day at Infoswell Media it was very clear to me that I have made the right choice. The vision of the company lines up almost exactly with what I have been learning and thinking about in my own approach of what and how we offer services to clients, I am very excited to see what lies ahead.

Next week I will be speaking at Local Search Summit here is the info about the panel I am speaking on…

“Social media represents a growing part of the online user experience and an important potential driver of leads to local businesses. Some are already using Facebook and Twitter. But how many and what are some of the ways they take advantage of social media as stand-alone channels or in conjunction with other media? We’ll sit down with some of thought leaders in this area to drill down on what really is working for small businesses.”

* Moderator: Steve Espinosa

* Sarah Smith – Facebook

* Aaron Irizarry – Infoswell Media

* Will Scott – Search Influence

As you can see it should be an interesting topic to discuss, and I look forward to interacting with everyone at the conference.

When I get back from that, the Drifting Creatives guys will be in town to hang out for the Collekt creative meet-up, look for lots of fun, and video from that.

I am very excited about alot of the cool stuff that is happening… lets keep it going!

Please let me know your thoughts on the video, leave a comment… even if you are telling me I have gone off the deep end :D

    Dude, I love how you refer to your clients’ client as being your client…. that is an awesome way to really think about it.

    Your dead on correct. I think the key is to always push yourself to do things better. Never say “this is good enough”. Never be satisfied. Your clients deserve the best and if they don’t get it from you, they’ll go somewhere else.

    Good luck at the conference!

    Thanks again for the always inspiring words. You’re going to love meeting the Drifting Creative guys. They are really down to earth. I’m glad you have finally made it over to your new job and are already being pushed to learn more. That is fantastic. Nothing worse than being stagnant. Much love.

  7. I completely agree; the one part that resonated with me is that doing what you do now is fine, but you must always push yourself to be slightly ahead of that curve if you want to be truly proud of what you accomplish on a daily basis. I’m not sure if it’s that kind of pushing boundaries mentality that has me bouncing between different spheres of design without settling down and truly, completely specializing in one, but there’s too much room for creative needs out there to be able to put the blinders on and just focus on one. That’s how you stagnate, as you mentioned. Great vid.

    Sounds like you’ve got a lot of cool stuff going on. Great to listen to someone PUMPED about what they’re doing, makes me pumped about my own stuff!

  9. Hey Aaron,
    Love the post this week. The concept on setting a goals based on purpose and dream rather than tradition and necessity is so key. Thinking beyond the familiar & comfortable really opens us up to a whole new world of opportunities. Much Love!

    Also, stoked for Drifting Creatives and Collekt. See you there!
