Friday Vidcast 9-04-09
In this weeks Friday Vidcast we talk about the Sushi and Robots Re-design, and budgeting the right amount of time be able to put the right focus and effort in our design projects.
Site of the week
The site of the week this week is Jina Bolton’s Sushi and Robots, her personal site that showcases some of her work, hobbies, and journal. I really enjoyed this site before, and I really like this re-design, and the way she presents her personal brand. I has caused me to do some re-thinking of my own site, and how I present my work, play, and writing. make sure you head over and check it out.
Food For Thought
I have recently been realizing that time management is such a big part of the creative process, similar to what we talked about in the “Design Rules to Live By” post earlier in the week when we discussed making time for family and getting away from the computer to get refreshed, the food for thought this week is about managing our time so that we can have enough time to really think through our designs, and give them enough attention so that they are not just the same ole’ process, and style of design we would always do.
Wrapping Up
An Event Apart is coming to Southern California! w00t! This is something I have been waiting for for quite some time, and am very appreciative that they are expanding the conference to come down to San Diego.
