  1. I’ve been doing this freelance thing since march and I would have to say its tough stuff out here if you don’t have a plan. I’ve been saying for so long I’m going to make money by doing this and doing that and what I have realize is when you say your going to do something most likely you will never get around to it but if you do it then you will get to it and conquer that request.

I love design but skateboarding is what I really love and I plan to create something that evolves around skateboarding in the near future.

Great video Aaron very inspirational and great advices.

    • Hey man.

I know, I have been freelancing since May, and the start was really tough.

So, I created a plan, and started marketing, and when September hit, I was being overloaded with projects.

You should head your own biz about skateboard design, for the boards, wheels etc. I think that you should go further and create the projects from hand, learn some high value craft.

This video was great! Thanks for the inspiration! Everyday I read twitter links about Freelance and how you can generate money, get clients, etc. It’s great to actually hear ideas spoken; I guess it makes it more believable instead of just reading some long list of things to do.

Great video! I’ve always been told to try to generate a passive income, but never the approach of utilizing something else you’re passionate about. Much better idea then just always coding themes to sell. Thanks!

  4. Root beer and string cheese! hah, that’s great.

Last week you talked about client communications, and with some of those clients you can end up on a retainer. It might not be passive income, but it’s steady cash flow.

For people who may not have the ability to build a full web app, remember the old saying ‘content is king’. If you write it (well) they will come.

A few years back I was really interested in goldfish, and all the information was scattered around multiple sites. I took that few hours a week and wrote a huge amount of content on goldfish, launched a site that now gets page 1 rankings in google for goldfish related searches, and brings me a pretty consistent monthly check from Google Ads. Since the site launch I’ve spent almost no time on upkeep because the content is still informative to the user.
