Putting together great designs starts with putting people together
Putting together great designs, starts with putting people together.
This a concept that Bill Scott elaborates on in a great UIE podcast, where he is talking about getting everyone involved with a project to have a shared understanding.
Here is a snippet of a quote from the page for the episode on the UIE site
“…It’s really about that shared understanding concept, where engineers have a shared understanding of business and design, and designers have the other two and et cetera. And marketing, you know, even educating them on what developers go through and what their process is at a very high level, gets everybody in the same ballpark where they really understand each other and get a sense for what’s hard, what’s easy, get a sense for the time crunch, get a sense for all those sort of things.”
Head over and give it a listen, and if you don’t subscribe to the UIE Podcast, you should.
