This Is Aaron’s Life – Video Blog Intro from Aaron Irizarry on Vimeo.

I have been re-thinking a lot of how this blog works and have been mapping out some re-tooling, and re-branding that I plan to implement over the coming months. The main reason for this is to provide a more personal experience on TIAL. So many of you come to the site and interact as well as the great interaction that I get with a lot of you on twitter. Coding for the Good of The Team

For those of us work in a team development environment we have experienced the frustration of giving our designs/code to another member of the team, and getting back something quite different then we submitted. I would like to unpack this some more and hopefully show that it is not Quality vs. Quantity, but Quality and Quantity. It should be our goal to provide a steady diet of both. So lets look at what you submitted. Continue reading

Quality or Quantity?

When working in an in-house environment the project load can pile up, add in the deadline factor, and before you know it quantity can take precedence over quality. Finances, personal goals, design morals, all of these things influence our choice and approach to the issue of “Quality or Quantity”. In what other situations have you experienced this dynamic?
