Talking Shop About Design and UX

I am stoked this week to have a couple great chances to hang out and talk about what I love, Something that should never be passed up.

I did a guest spot on a search marketing podcast yesterday, and today will be apart of the very first Chat Creative Design Panel. I am very thankful to have these opportunities, to connect with people and talk about what I am passionate about.

PPC Renegades

Yes they are called the PPC renegades, and apparently they are taking the search marketing podcast world by storm. I don’t really know a whole lot about pay per click marketing, but they asked me to come talk about what makes a good experience on a website, so that those who are investing in this form of online advertising can learn about ways to increase the conversion rate of the traffic they are getting on their site.

Most of the time advertising goes for nothing due to poorly thought out and designed site. So creating a good user experience is crucial to accomplishing the goals you have set for those visiting your site. Whether you are trying to get them to sign up for a service, or sell them a product providing the right environment, and guidance on your site it crucial.

So I had 5 minutes to answer a question on what makes a good user experience (thanks Steve Krug), and it’s importance, so I jumped in and gave it a whirl you can listen to the clip below. ( thanks Martin and Blake for the cool opportunity)

Listen!

You can also get a sneak peek behind the scenes here. ( thanks to Blake for stepping in and saving everyone from looking at my neck for to long.)
